The Audio Content Fund is committed to safeguarding your privacy online.  Please read this policy to understand how your personal information will be treated. 

Personal Information

Access to the Site does not require you to become a registered user, although you will need to register if you wish to make a bid for Audio Content Fund funding.

Registered users will receive emails that relate to the administration of their account and their funding bids. We hope that you find the emails we send you useful, but if you have any complaints about them or their content you should email info@audiocontentfund.org.uk. It is not possible to opt out of these emails, as they are necessary for administrating your account.

Registered users may also receive marketing/publicity emails and email newsletters from The Audio Content Fund.  You can opt out of receiving those emails at any time by editing the subscription settings in your account, or emailing info@audiocontentfund.org.uk

To register for an account with The Audio Content Fund you must provide us with accurate registration information.  The details which you provide about yourself and any information which identifies you such as your name, address, email address (“personal information”) will be collected by us when you register.

Any personal information obtained from you by The Audio Content Fund in order to send you e-newsletters will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act and the Terms of our Privacy Policy.

How we store and protect information

Only employees and approved contractors/developers who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personal information.

We may need to transfer, store or process your personal information at a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). By submitting your personal information to us, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your personal information, we will use procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

We do not normally link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, which means that you remain anonymous even though we include your IP address in our aggregate information.

Any fraudulent or unauthorised use, and any attempts to circumvent system security are immediately notified to system administrators and will result in the immediate closure of the offending user’s system accounts, and potential prosecution under the Computer Misuse Act.  In the event of any such improper conduct, we may use the information we have gathered or received about an individual in order to fulfil the above provisions, including passing personal information to law enforcement authorities including the Police.
