A daily radio series produced in partnership with The National Literacy Trust, that will feature children interviewing the authors they love.
30x 5min, by Pixiu, first aired November 2020
With the help of CBBC presenter Ben Shires, children aged 7-13 from communities across the UK will speak to their favourite writers celebrating diverse voices, and encouraging listeners to share their own stories.
Episodes will be recorded in locations across the UK, and will feature local children as well as children’s authors discussing their stories, their books and writing in general. Children’s voices will be central to the show and will help us shape the content each episode.
Each episode will last approx. 5 minutes and will be built around a number of different content ideas, including interview questions, writing challenges, story based games, opportunities for children to read out their own stories and to hear authors reading from their books. Each episode will include suggested activities and ideas for the listener to create and discuss their own stories.
